LED TVs are the most common TV these days. then what is the best? Are you looking best tv for you to buy? then we do an electronic analysis of TVs. you may have heard words like OLED, QLED and LCD.

We will be discussed

  • The basic concept of TVs
  • Display ( LCD tv, LED-backlit LCD TVs, OLED, QLED )
  • Connectivity
  • Smart features
  • Power consumption
  • The final discussion of TVs
  • Final conclusion

The basic concept of TVs

Let’s focus on motion pictures (videos )before the study about tv.

because TVs also make videos according to basic motion pictures concept

motion pictures are just sequences of pictures. those pictures play continuously and at least 23 frames play for one second. that is how the videos are generated. we can’t identify any changes between the two pictures (frames). Actually, one picture is called a frame. if we consider tv, there is a frame rate value in TVs.

for example, video gaming monitor manufacturers promote frame rates of their products. because games need a high frame rate for smooth game plays.

now you know that a video is a playing sequence of photos.

ok ! lets start from CRT TV

Basically, CRT TV is an advanced cathode ray tube. its a vacuum tube and there is cathode in one end which emit the electrons to anode .

the electromagnetic coils are used to control that electron beam which is called deflection yoke.Actually that coils decide the expand of electron beams in X,Y direction.

then that electrones beams create the pictures?

no!!!there is a Phosphor screen in the front side of the tube.that screen is coated with layer of phosphor material.Actually the colors are generated in this layer.when electron hits this layer then it produce deference colors according to the various phosper material.

also there is a power supply to conversion power AC to DC ,then power up the circuits of the TV.

this is the beginning of the TV.

Display

LCD TV

the LCD tv came to play as the next generation. LCD mean liquid crystal display. there is a white backlight as a source of the LCD tv and a matrix of liquid crystal cells in front of the display.

there are 3 types of cells in one pixel [LED, GREEN, BLUE]. we all know that using these three colours, we can generate various colour combination

LED-backlit LCD tv.

Fluorescent lights are used in first-generation LCD TVs.then backlight source is changed to LED.that tv is called an LED-backlit LCD tv.

Other types of LED TVs are QLED and OLED. Actually, these kinds of systems do have not a backlit system. the colours and brightness change every pixel itself.

QLED and OLED are two different TV display technologies. QLED is a shortened version of “quantum dot LED,” while OLED is a shortened version of “organic light-emitting diode.”

QLED TVs

QLED TVs produce more vibrant colours and better contrast than traditional LED TVs by using quantum dots, which are tiny semiconductor particles. They are well-known for their excellent image quality and wide viewing angles.

OLED TVs

OLED TVs, on the other hand, use an organic compound that emits light when an electric current is applied to it. This enables OLED TVs to produce deep blacks and high contrast ratios while remaining thin and lightweight. However, OLED TVs are generally more expensive than QLED TVs.

ok !! You now understand the fundamental technologies underlying televisions. So, what kind of television is best for you?

  • Picture quality, including resolution, refresh rate, and contrast ratio

mainly you have 4 options (LCD,LED backlit LCD ,QLED,OLED) .according to above explanation OLED TV s are more expensive than other ones.

When considering higher resolution, you must consider your video sources. For example, if your cable television service only streams HD resolution and your television has 4K resolution, your images will be blurry.

In most cases, the refresh rate is not the case. If you are a gamer, you should choose a TV with a higher refresh rate, at least 60Hz.

The contrast ratio is a measurement of the brightness difference between the darkest and lightest areas of an image on a display.

OLED televisions have a higher contrast ratio, and QLED televisions are also better.

Think about it! The contrast ratio is a more valuable display parameter, and most low-cost LED televisions have a low contrast ratio. then determine the contrast ratio by visiting a TV showroom or researching television product details

  • Connectivity

Connectivity refers to ports such as HDMI, VGA, display ports, USB, and so on. For example, you may have a cable television system and a Blu-ray player. Then you should have at least two HDMI ports. Otherwise, you must change the cable manually.

These days display ports are in most devices. Actually display and HDMI ports have their own strength and weaknesses.

  • Smart features

Most televisions nowadays have smart features. The majority of televisions use Android operating systems. Some televisions come with their own operating systems. When it comes to features, the most common is accessing the internet and using streaming services like Netflix and Hulu.

Furthermore, if you use any kind of smart assistance, it should be compatible with your television. Before buying a television, do a little research on smart features.

  • Power consumption

CRT and LCD tv has high power consumption and LED tv has low power consumption. also, some of the TVs have power-saving modes. your tv room environment is also a factor in your high power consumption.

yes! If your tv is in a lighted environment, you should increase the brightness of the television. The television then requires a lot of power internally.

  • The final discussion of TVs

as a summary should consider about various factors before buying a tv.

  • The first thing is the cost of the tv.
  • the best television display technology, Do you like (resolution…)
  • your connectivity requirements (sound outputs, video source connectivity)
  • What are you going to watch?
  • your environment.
  • your distance with tv (visit this site and find your distance – https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/by-size/size-to-distance-relationship)
  • also, think about after services of the tv.
  • Final conclusion and advice

Consider your television area first. It is desirable to have a bit of low light. Then consider what you’re going to watch. In these days, I believe 4K resolution is superior. then decide on the best viewing distance using above calculator.  Then look for a suitable brand and display technology. I believe that OLED televisions are the best. It is up to you to choose the the superior one for you. finally  Consider your sound system and connectivity.

Do some research on amazon?

leave a comment about your tv !!! good luck

  1. I and my friends were going through the nice, helpful tips from the blog then the sudden came up with an awful suspicion I never expressed respect to the website owner for those secrets.

  2. Howdy just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in your post seem to be running off the screen in Internet explorer. I’m not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let you know. The layout look great though! Hope you get the issue resolved soon. Cheers
